Cytometry Educational Associates, Inc. (CEAI) is the non-profit organization that oversees the organization, management, continuity, and finances of the Annual Course in Cytometry.
CEAI exists to ensure that high-quality cytometry education remains accessible to the global research community. We provide the institutional scaffolding — financial stewardship, continuity between rotating host institutions, and long-term planning — that allows the Annual Course in Cytometry to continue year after year, for the community and by the community.
Each year, in partnership with a rotating host institution, CEAI supports the delivery of a week-long course bringing together roughly 40 instructors and 90 students from around the world for lectures, hands-on labs, a keynote, and networking. Our Annual Course page has details on upcoming and past courses.
The Annual Course has been held every year since 1977, with the exception of a two-year pause in 2020 and 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Read the full timeline of milestones and host institutions.
The CEAI Board of Directors is made up of practicing cytometrists and cytometry educators who steward the organization on a volunteer basis.
